How Kevin Shattenkirk is now viewing controversial Rangers exit

No, so sorry, that was Kevin Shattenkirk talking about how the Rangers tore down their team at the 2017-18 trade deadline, months after the New Rochelle native had signed as a free agent with his hometown team that had made the playoffs seven straight seasons.

“The cards that were dealt you certainly couldn’t predict,” Shattenkirk said Tuesday. “Going into the season, we had a pretty good team if you look at that roster. And the way that it all unfolded on a personal level and on a team level was certainly unpredictable, and you know, frankly, it stunk.
