Training camp is in the rear-view mirror and the Hartford Wolf Pack are set to embark on their 29th season in the American Hockey League. The New York Rangers affiliate seeks a return to the Calder Cup Playoffs after missing out by five points last season (30-33-7-2, 69 points, seventh in Atlantic Division).
The camp and preseason (1-1-0-0) featured second-year coach Grant Potulny teaching new systems that Rangers coach Mike Sullivan implemented in New York. Similar to the Rangers, the Wolf Pack have a clean slate and an enhanced roster for the upcoming season.
Hartford begins the regular season Saturday against Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.
