The word "great" has many definitions to many different people, especially in the world of sports. What is a great NHL career? What makes a great hockey player? What about great players who were plagued by injuries? There’s no pleasing everyone’s definition of the word great, so I settled on some basic prerequisites and qualifiers to guide me.
