Peter Laviolette returns to his old stomping grounds of the Wells Fargo Center looking to make a piece of history with his new team. Thursday’s win was New York’s ninth consecutive victory, and one more win would allow the 2023-24 Rangers to tie the franchise record of ten wins in a row.
The ongoing streak is New York’s longest since the early portion of the 2015-16 season, but that team fell short of a tenth consecutive victory before eventually fizzling out in the opening round of the playoffs.
