The Rangers are back in New York after a four game western swing that was not particularly kind to them. A 1-2-1 trip that saw the Blueshirts lose in Vegas before running the NHL’s California gauntlet is finally in the rear view mirror, but there will be a familiar opponent in town as the Vegas Golden Knights have made their way to Manhattan to wrap up the season series tonight.
The previous meeting in Vegas, a 5-1 drubbing last Thursday, set the tone for what ended up being a miserable road trip for the Rangers that included losses to both Los Angeles and the cellar dwelling San Jose Sharks.
