After another extended break that saw the team play one game the last eleven days, the New York Rangers are back in action tonight, and they’ll head across the river to take on the New Jersey Devils. Tonight’s game marks the beginning of a three games in four days stretch for the Blueshirts, with a game against the Washington Capitals looming tomorrow.
In spite of playing three more games than New York in this young season, the Devils currently trail the Rangers by two points in the standings. For a team that many picked to bounce back and return to the playoffs in 2020, an 0-4-2 start with rumors of a coaching changing swirling isn’t quite how the Devils wanted to begin the season, but here they are.
