ICYMI, NHL commish Gary Bettman did his annual state-of-the-league presser today. Some highlights included:
That the NHL probably won’t be going to the Olympics unless the IIHF and the IOC pick up the tab for transportation and insurance for the athletes. “I’m sure our teams are not interested in paying for the privilege of disrupting our season.”
That the decision on expansion should be addressed (and I assume tied down) by the week before the board of governors’ meeting June 22 (in Vegas, of course).
