The hits just keep on coming for the New York Rangers. A little bit after recalling Jonny Brodzinski yesterday, the Rangers placed defenseman Adam Fox on LTIR following his knee on knee collision with Sebastian Aho. The Blueshirts have recalled defenseman Connor Mackey and goalie Louis Domingue for tonight’s game in Minnesota. Igor Shesterkin will not dress tonight as he is banged up.
The elephant in the room is Shesterkin’s injury, which appears to only be minor. “Banged up” is generally used when they just need a day off, and leaving Shesterkin behind for the trip to Minnesota will hopefully assist in a speedier recovery.
