It took less than one day for the circus to follow John Tortorella to USA Hockey, even if - this time - the fiery ex-Rangers coach was not to blame.
USA Hockey held a Tuesday media teleconference to discuss Tortorella's hiring as coach of Team USA for the World Cup of Hockey in fall 2016, and three consecutive prank callers sent the conference into a complete tailspin, beginning with a hack who identified himself as Gil Johnson with Slapshot.org.
"Hi, hello coach? I heard, John, you say about the whole family tree thing; that was funny," Johnson said.
