No beating around the bush: One day before the first full-team practice at training camp, Rangers coach David Quinn announced who will be on his top line.
On Friday, Quinn said 24-year-old Pavel Buchnevich will be joining new addition Artemi Panarin and Mika Zibanejad on his top unit. The center Zibanejad has emerged as a leader — a possible new captain — while left-winger Panarin was the jewel of the free-agent market.
Buchnevich has had an up-and-down first three years in the NHL, looking his best at the end of last year when the Rangers were already out of contention.
