The New York Rangers have sent Brennan Othmann back to the Hartford Wolf Pack, and the team is expected to replace him with another player later on today.
I’m told the Rangers will recall someone else later today. They like Othmann and believe he showed flashes. They want to allow him to continue to develop in Hartford for now but they’re happy he got a taste of the NHL because they believe he will be better for it. https://t.co/KJ2VJvq1rK
Othmann had a brief 3-game cup of coffee with the Rangers, and he didn’t play as much in the final two games because Peter Laviolette double shifted top-six players to try and get the team back in the game.
