The New York Rangers are scheduled to kickoff their Qualifying Round against the Carolina Hurricanes in exactly 12 days, and it looks like they will be doing so without Brendan Lemieux. The rugged winger has been suspended for two games by the National Hockey League for his illegal check against Joonas Donskoi.

The illegal hit occurred back on March 11 in what would be the Rangers’ final regular season game before the NHL went on pause due to the coronavirus pandemic.
