26 NHL players (and counting) have tested positive for COVID-19

Before the NHL entered into Phase 2 activities on June 8, there were 11 known cases of players testing positive for COVID-19. Today, the NHL announced that 15 players have tested positive as a result of 1,450 tests that have been administered to a group of over 250 players who have reported to their clubs for optional participation in Phase 2 activities.

That’s six percent of the players who have returned to their clubs to use team facilities and to participate in skates with small groups. What those numbers will look when the league enters into Phase 3 with training camps on July 10 will be something to keep a close eye on.
