David Wright may have greeted the Phillies with an upper-deck home run, but his teammates received a different kind of gift.
When the Mets arrived in Philadelphia late Sunday night, their team captain — who had missed about four months with spinal stenosis — was waiting for them in the hotel lobby in full uniform, with cookies.
The reason for the treat?
"Just boredom," Wright said with a laugh.
The Mets were flying in from Colorado, where the team swept the Rockies, when Wright decided to stock up on goodies from a local bakery.
