The New York Mets will send at least one ex-player to the Hall of Fame next summer. Jeff Kent will head into Cooperstown for a much-overdue representation as one of the game’s best second basemen.
Mets fans won’t be saving up their PTO to see him inducted. His best years came with the San Francisco Giants. He was a pimple in Mets history who played well but was hardly Hall of Fame worthy in those early years.
What about others? Thanks to the team at the Baseball Hall of Fame tracker, we have an idea of who’s trending in the right direction.
