The 2025 MLB trading deadline has come and gone, leaving in its wake a multitude of players who will be changing their uniforms and joining new teams for the stretch run. The New York Mets were in the market for a new centerfielder, They went looking for a player with the the defense to solidify their outfield as well as the speed to bat at the top of the order.
After the searching and wheeling and dealing was done, the Mets decided to go with center fielder Cedric Mullins, who was traded on Thursday from the Baltimore Oriole to the New York Mets.
