As if the Mets were not impressed enough with Noah Syndergaard on the mound, the pitching prospect is adding some offense pop to the mix.
In Thursday’s 8-2 win over the Isotopes for Triple-A Las Vegas, Syndergaard came a triple shy of hitting for the cycle by hitting a single, a double and a monster two-run home run over the center field wall at Cashman Field in the fourth inning.
Aside from pitching to a 1.82 ERA, Syndergaard is hitting .455 this season.
