Here is a newsreel-style footage (or maybe it is an actual newsreel) from 1964 introducing brand spanking new Shea Stadium to the world. The film includes then-Mets manager Casey Stengel, the stadium’s namesake William Shea and Robert Moses, the still controversial Parks Commissioner (among other jobs) who spearheaded the project.
