Thumb healed, Granderson looks forward to defending NL title

Mets OF Curtis Granderson said on Tuesday that his surgically repaired left thumb is healed (Dec. 15, 2015) and he's already starting offseason workouts (Dec. 15, 2015).

Granderson injured his thumb during Game 3 of the NLCS.

"I'm good to go, just need to get back some range of motion and gain the strength back because right now it's a little stiff," he told Amazin Avenue's Andrew M. Cohen.

Granderson added that he's looking forward to 2016, especially knowing the Mets will be a target as they look to defend their National League title.
