Threat to NY Mets’ starting pitcher pursuit sound ready to put up their feet

“I’m finished!” only they aren’t shouting it after beating anyone up with a bowling pin. In a world where the New York Mets starting rotation has remained stagnant, many other clubs have at least made one move to try to improve their chances.

A team vying for some of the same targets as the Mets may already be complete. The San Francisco Giants, after signing Adrian Houser and Tyler Mahle, are sending out a message (with a smoke screen or not) that they’re content with the way the rotation looks right now.

Giants GM Zack Minasian said the Giants will keep looking through free agent/trade options, but said they are "very comfortable with the five (starters) that we have" and the young depth behind those guys.
