This time Wilmer Flores is the hero as Mets dramatically walk off

Modal Trigger

Wilmer Flores is a hero once more.

The Queens fan favorite cracked a two-out, walk-off home run in the ninth, off of Matt Albers, to give the Mets a 3-2 win over the Brewers on Sunday at Citi Field. It was Flores’ third career walk-off home run, and his seventh career walk-off RBI.

Following the end of their nine-game winning streak Saturday night, the Mets (12-2) continued the best start in franchise history, notching their seventh comeback win of the season.

Noah Syndergaard had his best start of the season, recording 11 strikeouts in a no-decision, while Brandon Nimmo fell a double short of hitting for the cycle.
