NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — In what can only be described as a scene out of “The Natural,” New York Mets pitcher Bartolo Colon did the impossible – he hit a home run.
Newsday’s Marc Carig witnessed the historic event Monday as “Big Sexy” went yard off Mets hitting coach Kevin Long during batting practice.
“Because I didn’t trust my own eyes, I asked Kevin Long if Bartolo Colon indeed homered off him in BP. The hitting coach confirms it’s true,” Carig tweeted.
