A new wave of New York Mets prospects are coming to the majors in 2026. We got a preview of some of them last year with Nolan McLean being the most significant contributor. Players like Carson Benge will battle in the spring for a potential role with the big league club out of camp.
Way further down the list of prospects is a 19-year-old named Edward Lantigua. Two seasons deep into his professional career, the young center fielder has been a quiet OBP machine.
He has now totaled 54 walks versus 66 strikeouts. Last year in the FCL, Lantigua walked 33 times while striking out just 29 times.
