Syndergaard scratched from today's start due to biceps discomfort/tired arm

Noah Syndergaard has been scratched from Thursday afternoon's start against the Braves due to biceps discomfort/tired arm, manager Terry Collins said.

Syndergaard's spot in the rotation will be skipped entirely, with the Mets needing a fill-in starter on Sunday.

Matt Harvey will start in Syndergaard's place on Thursday.

Collins said Syndergaard reported biceps discomfort after both of his bullpen sessions this week.

Syndergaard feels a lot better than he did earlier this week, Collins added, but the Mets are skipping him as a precaution.

The Mets had initially announced after Tuesday's rainout that Syndergaard would pitch on Wednesday.
