Syndergaard and Cespedes See Doctors After Mets Win

Nothing about this Mets season has been easy. Their hitting hasn’t supported their pitching. Though they have a winning record, the team has often been undermined by uneven play. Injuries have piled upon injuries and on Wednesday there were yet more.

Two of the Mets best players, Yoenis Cespedes and Noah Syndergaard, left the seesaw 4-3 win over the Kansas City Royals because of injuries. Sundergaard complained of discomfort in his right elbow after completing six innings and was sent to see a doctor after the game.

In the fifth inning, Cespedes grimaced after fouling off a pitch.
