Stroman Throws 9 Pitches In Mets-Marlins Rainout

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP)Marcus Stroman threw nine pitches in a steady rain before play was stopped and Sunday’s game between the New York Mets and Miami Marlins was suspended at Citi Field.

Play began at 1:10 p.m. and was halted by plate umpire D.J. Reyburn after seven minutes. The game was suspended after a wait of 2 hours, 10 minutes and will be continued as part of a day-night doubleheader on Aug. 31.
