Jay Horwitz announced via Twitter that Shannon Forde will be inducted into the New York State Baseball Hall of Fame. Forde worked alongside Horwitz during her 22-year career with the New York Mets, sadly lost her long fight with breast cancer in May of 2016 at the age of 44.
Forde will be inducted on November 14th alongside New York Mets icons Mookie Wilson and Cleon Jones as well as Horwitz himself.
