Sentencing day for DMX changed so his lawyer can attend Mets game

Tax-dodging rapper DMX will get sentenced a day early — so his lawyer can attend the Mets’ Opening Day game at Citi Field.

Defense lawyer Murray Richman on Tuesday asked Manhattan federal Judge Jed Rakoff — an avid Yankees fan — to change the scheduled March 29 hearing at which DMX will learn his fate for admittedly evading $1.7 million in federal taxes.

Richman said he had tickets to watch the Mets take on the St. Louis Cardinals that day.

“I’ve heard of the Mets. They’re a mediocre team that sometimes tries to play baseball,” Rakoff said.
