Royals’ Ned Yost: Not much downside to Mets’ early clinch

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Ned Yost knows what the Mets are about to experience getting ready to play in the World Series.

A year ago, Yost’s Royals swept the Orioles in the ALCS and waited five days to start the World Series against the Giants. After going 4-for-4 against the Cubs in the NLCS, the Mets will have five days off before facing the Royals or Blue Jays, beginning Tuesday in Game 1 of the World Series.
