Rosario day-to-day with bruised finger

Mets shortstop Amed Rosario is day-to-day with a bruised right index finger after leaving Sunday's game against the Houston Astros.

Rosario hurt his finger swinging on Saturday and it swelled up on Sunday. He went 0-for-3 and was hit by a pitch, but was unable to grip the bat late in the game and was replaced by Matt Reynolds in the bottom of the eighth inning.

X-rays on his finger came back negative.

The 21-year-old rookie is hitting .245/.272/.427 in 32 games since he was promoted from Triple-A Las Vegas last month.
