RHP Jacob Rhame, RHP Jamie Callahan, and OF Nori Aoki made their Mets debuts Saturday during the team's doubleheader with the Astros.
In the matinee, Rhame pitched one and 1/3 scoreless innings, allowing two hits, while Callahan allowed one earned run on three hits in 2/3 of an inning. Aoki started in right field in the nightcap, going 1-for-5 from the leadoff spot.
Rhame and Callahan, both acquired via trades this season, were making their major league debuts after getting promoted from Triple-A Las Vegas. Rhame was included in the trade that sent Curtis Granderson to the Dodgers, while Callahan was traded to the Mets in the deal that sent Addison Reed to the Red Sox.
