The Twins and Addison Reed have agreed on a two-year, $17 million deal pending a physical, according to Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic. Reed had reportedly been a target for the Mets this offseason.
Reed, 29, was with the Mets for just under two years. The team acquired him from the Diamondbacks on August 31, 2015 before trading him to the Red Sox on July 31, 2017.
The RHP enjoyed a career year in his one full season for the Mets in 2016. Reed had a 1.97 ERA (1.97 FIP) and 0.94 WHIP in 77 2/3 IP with 91 K.
