Twins RHP Ervin Santana recently spoke with 45-year-old RHP Bartolo Colon, who said the Mets have interest in a reunion this season, reports Mike Berardino of Twin Cities Pioneer Press.
Santana said Colon is aiming to surpass Dennis Martinez to earn the most wins as a Latin American pitcher in history.
"He just wants to win six more games and then he will retire," Santana said.
Mike Puma of the New York Post reported last month that Colon might be willing to accept a minor-league contract, but only with the Mets.
