NEW YORK -- Add catcher Anthony Recker to the Mets' growing list of injured players.
Recker has a bone spur in his right elbow, the Mets announced Wednesday, but plans to play through it. He may need to have the spur removed in the offseason.
Recker, 31, is 0-for-3 with four walks in four games this season, serving as the backup first to injured starter Travis d'Arnaud, and more recently to fill-in Kevin Plawecki. Recker made significant strides throwing out baserunners from 2013 to '14, improving from a 21 percent success rate to 37 percent.
