Day one of two of the MLB Draft has concluded, and with that, comes some big news. For those who couldn’t catch Day 1 of the 2025 MLB Draft, here’s a quick rundown of the major Mets news from Sunday night:

First pick (38th overall): Mitch Voit, RHP, University of Michigan

The Mets finally made their first selection in the draft late in the Competitive Balance Round A, selecting two-way player Mitch Voit out of Michigan. While drafted as both a pitcher and an infielder, his upside is reportedly higher as a hitter.
