Earlier today, the San Francisco Giants acquired Evan Longoria from the Tampa Bay Rays in exchange for Denard Span, Christian Arroyo, Matt Krook, and Stephen Woods. Just yesterday, there were rumors connecting the New York Mets to Longoria.
Arroyo is one of the top third base prospects in baseball. He is ranked at number 57 out of the top 100 prospects according to MLB.com. Even though Arroyo was hurt for a while last season due to an injured wrist and broken left hand, he had a decent display at Triple-A with the Sacramento River Cats.
