1975 wasn’t Jon Matlack’s best season with the Mets, but it was his most impressive showing at the midsummer classic, Entering in the bottom of the seventh after teammate Tom Seaver got tagged for a three-run homer by Carl Yastrzemski in the sixth, Matlack pitched two scoreless innings, striking out four and allowing only a pair of singles.
