J.D. Davis celebrates after scoring the game-winning run on Pete Alonso's sacrifice fly in the 11th inning of the Mets' 4-3 win over the Reds on Tuesday night.

Jeurys Familia tried to give it away, but his teammates took it back.

J.D. Davis, Jeff McNeil and Pete Alonso were the forces in the 10th inning Tuesday, assembling a rally that led the Mets to a 4-3 victory over the Reds that let their beleaguered reliever off the hook for a night.

Alonso’s sacrifice fly to deep right won it, after Davis had grinded a 10-pitch at-bat and doubled and McNeil’s fourth hit of the game, a single, put runners on the corners with nobody out.
