Only decisions Mets make are bad ones

There are days like Friday when you watch Noah Syndergaard pitch and you get excited about the future of the Mets. But during the same game you really start to wonder if the people running the Mets have any idea what they are doing.

Let's go to Friday night. Michael Cuddyer, our $10M left fielder, coming off a 5-day layoff, doesn't play because Kirk Nieuwenhuis hit 3 homers in a game last week. Yes, they - at least it's what they said - actually expected a guy who had been DFA'd twice this season (including once by the Mets themselves) would stay on a roll and keep hitting home runs, when you, me, the entire world knows Kirk basically had a once-in-a-lifetime day last Sunday, nothing more, nothing less.
