Does it shock anyone to learn that the latest batch of New York Mets trade rumors has them clutching to their top prospects for dear life?
Since the Sandy Alderson/Steve Cohen regime took over, building and maintain a strong farm system has been a priority. A minor league system ravaged by Brodie Van Wagenen over the course of two years, it doesn’t sound like this month’s Mets trade rumors will include the names of any of the franchise’s best young players yet to reach the majors.
