Without question, the New York Mets have been the busiest team at the 2025 MLB trade deadline. After acquiring Tyler Rodgers and Ryan Helsley on Wednesday, the rumors are that the Mets are far from done. Reports are suggesting that their focus has gone away from bullpen help and more towards getting an everyday centerfielder. The player both fans and insiders keep bringing up is Luis Robert Jr.
This is nothing new, as the Mets and Robert have been connected since the offseason. However, they're no longer the main team trying to acquire him.
