WASHINGTON — Curtis Granderson’s barking right calf is just one more ache and pain for manager Terry Collins to consider when he writes out Wednesday’s lineup card.
The veteran outfielder left Tuesday’s game following a 1-hour, 25-minute rain delay in the fourth inning because he had difficulty getting loose. Granderson said he felt tightness in the calf last weekend in Atlanta.
“We’re going to try some different things [Wednesday] and kind of go from there,” Granderson said after the Mets’ 5-0 loss to the Nationals.
Collins hinted he is leaning toward keeping Granderson on the bench for the series finale.
