Nick Morabito was originally drafted by the Mets in the second round of the 2022 Major League Draft out of Gonzaga College High School in Washington D.C. He spent the next few seasons slowly progressing through the Mets minor league system, playing well and falling somewhere near the bottom of lists of the top ten Mets prospects.
After the 2025 season, the Mets added Morabito to their 40-man roster to protect him from the Rule 5 Draft, and in May 0f the 2026 season, with the glut of injuries in the Mets outfield, Nick Morabito earned his callup to the major league team.
