Paul DePodesta is a new face in NFL circles, apparently still unfamiliar to some.
The former Mets exec, who was hired as the chief strategy officer for the Browns this offseason, detailed a scene at the NFL Combine last month where his new role and the team as a whole were the butt of some jokes by rivals execs.
“I was standing right in front of them in line and I could hear them in back of me and they were talking trash about me and the Cleveland Browns,” DePodesta said at MIT’s Sloan Sports Analytics Conference, according to Baseball America.
