“For me, this is over two years of work to coming out on the field to try to get back and play in a major league game,” said Wright, 35, who hasn’t played in the majors since May 27, 2016. “Certainly my short-term goal — as it’s been the last couple years — has been to put that uniform on and go out there and play again.
