As the July 31 trade deadline approaches, the New York Mets are looking to sell. Someone the Mets could trade for is New York Yankees prospect Deivi Garcia.
The 20-year-old pitcher performed in the Futures Game last week in Cleveland and is now the youngest player to play in Triple-A. According to Andy Martino of SNY, the Mets scouted Garcia on Monday.
“The Mets are sending their most trusted evaluator, former GM Omar Minaya, to scout the Triple-A debut of Yankees pitching prospect Deivi Garcia on Monday night, according to major league sources,” Martino wrote.
