New York Mets’ offensive futility has hit yet another franchise low

Remember when we said the New York Mets couldn’t take advantage of anything fortunate after losing to the Baltimore Orioles on Tuesday? Well, it’s gotten worse.

Manager Mickey Callaway‘s club fell 1-0 to Baltimore on Wednesday, as the team with the league’s worst winning percentage came into town and swept a two-game series. The incredible lack of offense was once again on display, as Alex Cobb, Dylan Bundy, and a handful of relievers limited the Mets to just one run in 18 innings.

The losing isn’t anything out of the ordinary right now, but the lack of scoring runs has reached historic proportions over the last few days.
