New York Mets decline Juan Lagares’ 2020 option (Report)

Juan Lagares‘ tenure with the New York Mets has come to an end. This week, the ball club elected to decline the veteran centerfielder’s 2020 option. This will make him a free agent heading into next season. Mike Puma of the New York Post reported the news on Friday.

Mets have declined Juan Lagares' 2020 option, making him a free agent. Joe Panik and Donnie Hart declined outright assignments to Syracuse and elected free agency.
