When MLB rosters expand on Sept. 1, the New York Mets may be welcoming a familiar face back to the rotation—Matt Harvey.
Out since June with a stress reaction in his right shoulder, Saturday saw the team’s former ace made his second rehab start for Double-A Binghamton. The results were mediocre.
Harvey, who walked one and struck out two—back-to-back to end the second inning—figures to make his next start in the big leagues. Most likely, he’d take what would have been Robert Gsellman’s next start—Friday, Sept. 1 against the Houston Astros.
