New York Mets 1B Pete Alonso makes an appearance on ‘The Late Show with Stephen Colbert’

What a season it was for Pete Alonso. Despite his team not reaching the postseason, the New York Mets rookie first baseman put numerous accolades on the shelf. Along with an All-Star appearance and a Home Run Derby victory, Alonso was the league-leader in home runs. Additionally, he set the Mets’ franchise record for single-season home runs and the major league rookie record for single-season home runs with 53.

Now that his season is over, Alonso has time for some public appearances outside of Citi Field. One of which was a segment on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” which occurred this past week.
